We are a local grab hire company based at Mayford, on the A320 between Woking and Guildford. That puts a lorry within easy reach of Guildford, Godalming, Chobham and Bagshot, and most of west Surrey is within half an hour of the yard. We work for builders, groundworkers, landscapers and homeowners, and we quote every job the same way: per load, from a photo, over the phone.
Every load goes to a licensed transfer station to be screened and recycled, and a waste transfer note comes through by email. We are an Environment Agency registered upper-tier waste carrier, and we have been loading lorries in Surrey for thirty years.

Soil and Turf
Topsoil, subsoil and turf go in any load, on either lorry.
Clay
The heaviest common spoil. We allow for the weight; a full load is still one price.
Hardcore and Rubble
Brick, block, stone and broken concrete, on their own or mixed with soil.
Concrete
Slabs, footings and posts. Large lumps are fine for the grab.
Tarmac
Old drives and paths, planings included.
Chalk
Common on the Downs side of Guildford. Goes as inert waste.
Green Waste
Hedging, roots, branches and garden clearance, on its own or with soil.
Mixed Builders' Waste
Timber, packaging and general site waste, kept clear of the items below.
Plasterboard
Fine on its own, kept separate. Mixed into soil or rubble the transfer station refuses the whole load.
Asbestos
Never in a grab load. Asbestos needs a specialist licensed contractor.
Fridges, Tyres, Batteries
These are disposed of separately and cannot go in a mixed load.
Paint, Oil, Gas Bottles
Hazardous, and one leaking container contaminates the whole load.

How much does grab hire cost in Guildford?
